 Broadband Packages

The following are applicable to all packages:-

Download Speed:  Up to 24 Mbps*.  We provide the fastest speed that is available on the line.

Upload Speed:  Up to 1 Mbps**.

Static IP Address.

Activation Fee £45 + VAT for new connections.  Migration is FREE***.

24 hr UK tech support.

*   If your exchange supports ADSL 2+, we will provision your line up to 24 Mbps downstream.  Otherwise, we will provision your line up to 8Mbps and tell you when your line supports ADSL 2+.

**   If your exchange supports ADSL 2+, we will provision your line up to 1 Mbps upstream.  Otherwise, we will provision your line up to 448 kbps and tell you when your line supports ADSL 2+.

***   Migrations are free unless from an LLU or cable provider where an activation fee applies.

****   Monthly allowance is consumed between 0800-2359 hrs Monday to Friday.  Bandwidth outside these times is uncharged.  The packages receive traffic prioritisation between 2000-2359 hrs Monday to Friday.  Where necessary, the Anti-Loss Tool will be applied to manage traffic for the avoidance of packet loss.  When this occurs, the throughput may be reduced.  Upon consumption of the monthly allowance and any remaining top-up, the connection will be rate limited to 128kbps with an additional 1GB.  Upon consumption of the additional 1GB the connection will be blocked until the customer purchases a top-up or reaches their next billing period start date.

ADSL1 connections provide an uncapped upload speed but customers may expect to see up to 1Mbps.  Download speeds are up to 8Mbps. 

ADSL2+ connections provide an uncapped upload speed but customers may expect to see up to 1Mbps.  Download speeds are up to 24Mbps

Priority will be given to Family packages between 20:00hrs and 00:00hrs Monday to Friday in the event that the Anti-Loss Tool (ALT) is implemented to manage bandwidth availability during times of contention. This is because during this period of time Business packages are outside of their allowance hours while Family packages are within their allowance period. The ALT will operate to optimise bandwidth availability for the majority of users.

OVERUSE OPTIONS

Customers requiring additional bandwidth are able to either purchase additional top-ups or opt for a per 1GB overusage charge, setting an upper limit at the point of order.

Top-ups have no expiry date.  They are only lost if the customer ceases the connection or migrates to an alternative provider or partner.

ADDITIONAL OPTIONS

Enhanced Care provides a reduced fix time of 20 hours in the event of a fault, with Openreach engineers available 24/7.  (Standard Care provides a fix time of 40 hours). 

Elevated Best Efforts (EBE) is only available for accounts whose exchanges have already been enabled for ADSL2+ platform and had their accounts migrated across.  EBE guarantees a minimum throughput of 3Mbps over the BT network subject to line sync rate.  The minimum level of service is guaranteed for 90% of the time over the busiest 3 hour period.
